This arrangement desperately makes me want to watch The Secret Garden. I love that movie and it was what actually got me thinking about changing my major to be Horticulture based. I am so glad I did. These roses just started to bloom last week and we have an abundance of ivy in the backyard and thought that would make a good filler plant. The clematis in our yard is also doing really good this year and producing lots of blooms. It tones down the brightness of the pink a little. The combination of the dark purple color, the ivy and the timelessness of the roses I think is what gives it that secret garden feel to me. I just love it and wish this would last for longer than a couple of days.
