Floret Floral Workshop Revisited

So I realized I never shared the photos I got from the floral workshop I attended in August with Floret. I was just reminded of these photos, because Erin just opened up registration for her 2015 workshops. One of them is going to be all about peonies. How amazing does that sound!? If you are thinking about a career in floral design, I highly recommend signing up for one of her workshops. I wish I could go again.
These are the photos, that Chris, her husband, took for us while we were there. I just love looking at them and going back to those 2 days.

December Daily | Week 2

We are 2 weeks into December! Have you finished your Christmas shopping yet? Last weekend, as you saw from this post, we went to Leavenworth for the Christmas Lighting Festival. The perfect way to kick off the season. We got ourselves some pretzels and bratwursts, chocolate covered gummy bears, and had an amazing dinner surrounded by tons of garlands and lights. I got the little fawn ornament while there. I also started writing our Christmas cards, which I NEED to send out and just sat and relaxed by our tree. I was a good relaxing week.

2014 Reader Survey

I really want to get more into my blog next year. I can slowly feel the motivation build a little more each day and I am super excited about that. Leavenworth Lighting Festival

This past weekend, Brent and I went over to Leavenworth for the annual Christmas Lighting Festival. Leavenworth is a little town nestled into the Cascade Mountains, where everything is Bavarian themed. It really is a little taste of the Swiss Alps right here in the Pacific Northwest. So charming and exactly the place you want to be this time of year. The whole town goes all out with lights and garlands everywhere. When it snows, it is like a real life snow globe. I thought it would be fun to head over this year for the festival. I was not expecting there to be as many people as there was, although it didn't feel overly crowded until everyone crowded in the street for the lighting. I would recommend taking a visit over there. Lots of shops to do some Christmas shopping and lots of little places to grab a Bratwurst and beer to warm up from the cold in typical Bavarian theme.

And yes, I did cut my hair! :)

December Daily | Week 1

Since I love this time of year and all of the activities and festiveness, I thought it would be fun to do a little weekly recap of the fun December things that I will be doing. The first week was full of decorations and lights. We spent 2 (maybe 3) days decorating our house and putting lights on the outside. Don't worry its not crazy overdone, we just took our time. I also made a couple of wreaths and started wrapping presents. The letter below, we found in one of our Christmas boxes. It is from 1989, I was 1 month old. So glad my mom keeps those things. She also kept most of our Christmas lists over the years. Those are so fun to look at again. We decided that we are going to put them all in an album to keep out for everyone to look at every year at this time. At the end of the month, I would love to put all of these photos into an album for a really festive, December only scrapbook. 

Have you started decorating yet? I wanted to get ours up as soon as Thanksgiving was over so we could enjoy it as long as possible.
