Easy Valentines Day Morning Raspberry Puff Pastries

I have got the easiest most delicious recipe for you guys today, raspberry puff pastries. Seriously. These are so good! This is the perfect thing to make tomorrow morning for a sweet Valentines Day breakfast. That way you can eat them all day. I won't tell anyone.

Ingredients
Puff Pastry Sheets
Pie filling (I used raspberry but you can use whatever you want)
1 beaten egg
Turbinado Sugar
Glaze (1 cup powdered sugar, 1 tsp vanilla and 2 Tbs milk)
~Set your oven to 375*
~Line your baking sheet with parchment paper, if you don't have any you can grease it.
~Unfold the sheets and cut into 9 squares. You can cut down the lines in the sheet, then cut each strip into 3 squares. You will have 18 squares.
~Spoon 1 Tbs of your pie filling into the middle of each square. Be careful not to do too much, this can get a little messy!
~Fold the corners into the middle pinching them together. Pinch together 2 of the sides and leave the other 2 open for them to breath and spill out any excess pie filling.
~Brush egg wash onto each one and sprinkle a little Turbinado sugar onto each.
~Put into the oven for 15-20 minutes.
While those are baking, make the glaze by mixing together the powdered sugar, vanilla and milk.
Once the pastries are done baking, drizzle the glaze onto them while they are still hot.
~Enjoy!!~

These are so easy to make and so so good! Hope you guys enjoy them!

Apple-Rhubarb Pie Recipe

I have a delicious recipe for all of that rhubarb you have growing in your yard right now. I am here today to share an apple-rhubarb pie recipe. Just in time for the Fourth tomorrow. This is something perfect to take to or serve at that BBQ you are going to tomorrow.
What you'll need:
3 cups chopped rhubarb
2 peeled and cut apples
I added a few strawberries just because. You don't have to if you don't want to
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 cup flour
1 tablespoon cinnamon
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 pinch of salt
1 egg
1 tablespoon butter
I also used ready made crust but by all means make your own!
What to do:
Preheat your oven to 375
Combine the rhubarb, apples, strawberries, sugar, flour, cinnamon, lemon juice and salt in a bowl and mix and let sit for a couple minutes.
Pour the filling in the pie.
Cut the butter in chunks and place on top of the filling.
Cover the pie with the remaining crust and coat with an egg wash. (Beaten egg with cream or water) and top with sugar.
Cover the edges of the pie with foil to prevent burning.
Bake for 30 minutes, remove the foil and back for another 25-30 minutes.
Let it cool and serve!
This is a very easy pie to make and delicious too! It is sure to be a hit at your next party. Serve it with ice cream for a cool twist.

Like my Grandma's Chicken Soup

Next week I am heading to Vegas (!!!) so to prepare for the all the extra food that will eaten, I have been cleansing for the past two weeks. Which means I have only been eating fruit, vegetables, chicken and steak. No sugar, dairy, breads or processed foods among other things. It's difficult, but worth it in the end. My mom and I were craving something else, so we started to read the labels of things we had in the cupboard, threw it in a pot and made the most delicious soup! Almost as good as my grandmas chicken soup, but there is stuff in hers that we can't eat right now. Remind me to put her recipe on here sometime.
This is what we put in it
2-3 cans Water
Chicken
1 can Tomato Sauce
1 can Died Tomatoes and Green Chilies
1 can Diced Tomatoes
1 can Fire Roasted Diced Tomatoes
Chopped Celery
Chopped Onion
Chopped Carrot
Chopped Garlic
Garlic Salt
Garlic Powder
Poultry Seasoning
Cilantro

The amount of vegetables and seasoning can vary, depending on what you like. Just add all these ingredients in a pot, boil and serve! So good and so so easy! Enjoy!

Rethinking the Hotdog

Its BBQ season and that means lots and lots of hotdogs. But let me tell you I'm not the hugest fans of hotdogs, I have a hard time finishing one. These are literally all my boyfriend eats so I had to come up with ways to stomach them and I succeeded. So put away the ketchup, mustard and relish and break out these ingredients because it is time to rethink that hotdog.
I have three different hotdogs for you to make. The Garden Dog, Seattle Dog and Taco Dog. The ingredients needed for these are avocado, onion, salsa, tomato, sour cream, cheese, peppers, guacamole and cream cheese.
The Garden dog includes guacamole spread on the bun and topped with onions, tomatoes and sliced avocado and anything else you happen to find growing in your garden. This one is my personal favorite and the guacamole is absolutely superb on hotdogs. I don't know if I'll be able to eat one without it now.
This one isn't exactly a new concept. It includes cream cheese spread on the bun and topped with onions, peppers and tomatoes. Cream cheese is a popular spread on hotdogs in Seattle.
I LOVE tacos so I decided to substitute the taco meat for a hotdog. Sour cream is on the bun and it is topped with salsa, onions and cheese. Delicious! These should make your BBQ experience more enjoyable than the condiments usually associated with hotdogs. Enjoy!
