February Photo A Day

March has finally arrived. We are getting closer and closer to cherry trees blooming and flowers every where you look. Anyone else as excited I am? Here is my February photo a day "Calendar". But I kind of messed up. There are only 27 days on it… I missed a day. Oops. Oh well! This is a hard challenge.

One more thing.. HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM!!

R & MB Wedding Photos

Remember these guys? In September I went down to California to take their engagement photos. They got married December 20 in Zermatt,  Switzerland and I was lucky enough to take their wedding photos. Here are a couple from that day. Enjoy!

Old Family Photos

A couple of days ago my mom brought in a big chest of old family photos and asked me to organize them. She didn't have to ask me twice. One of my favorite things to do is look through old pictures or watch old home movies. I am very fortunate that my family definitely has no shortage in that area. My brothers and I may have hated it at the time but my dad was constantly taking pictures of all of our family vacations. Let me tell you it was annoying, but I am so unbelievably happy he never stopped and insisted on all of those pictures in front of every national park sign we went by.
It really got me thinking about my pictures and how they are all on some sort of electronic device. That did not sit well with me. My kids won't be able to sit down and look through boxes upon boxes of old pictures like I am able to do right now. One of these days, soon, Im going to have to sit down and print out my pictures I have on my computer, my phone and USBs. I just love the thought of having multiple boxes filled with my pictures. There for me to look at whenever I want. And for anybody else to look at.

So you probably want to know what and who these pictures are of. I would.
1. A pile of pictures of me with my mom and grandma and some of my brothers.
2. Me in our backyard.
3. My dad when he was a kid.
4. My mom and my older brother. This was a really neat pack of black and white photos.
5. Top left- Me sitting on our steps, "posing" for the camera.
Top right- Christmas morning! With my older brothers and cousin.
Bottom left- My mom and dad back in the day.
Bottom right- The day my little brother was born, 23 years ago tomorrow! (Feb. 5) Happy                      Birthday Reed!!
6. My mom at the farm.
7. My oldest brother. This was a whole stack of polaroids. Instantly made me want a polaroid camera.
8. My dad and I and my new teddy bear on Christmas morning.

I loved looking through these photos. Especially the ones of my mom and dad before they were married and of my older brothers as kids before I was around. Thanks for taking a peak at my past!

Currently

Currently it is 10:01 pm on Friday night.
The rain is coming down outside, so I cracked my window open a little to hear it better. The most perfect sound.
I have all the lights on in my room, creating the most cozy ambiance.
Listening to the John Denver station on Pandora, making me want to be in a cabin in the snowy woods.
Good night all.

R & MB Engagement Photos

Back in September I took a little trip down to Newport Beach, California to take my brother and his fiancés engagement pictures. This was my first time doing something like this. Like taking someone else's pictures other than my own. It's safe to say I was a little bit nervous. This was something I did not want to mess up. You'll see that there is a picture of them with the Matterhorn in the background from Disneyland. You could say that this was practice for the real thing next month. Yep, they are getting married in Zermatt, Switzerland where the real Matterhorn is and I will be taking their wedding pictures!! I'm just a teensy bit excited (!!!!!!!).

Fall Garden Scenes

A couple of weeks ago I spent some time in the garden cleaning it up and getting it ready for the winter season. Some flowers were still blooming. I love the look of buds and bright blooms against an otherwise dark and dreary landscape. Enjoy these fall garden scenes.

Snapshots || Disneyland Edition

Its no secret that I am a HUGE Disney fan. I LOVE Disneyland. Love. So when my mom and I took a trip down to California to visit my brother, a trip to Disneyland was a must. No question about it. We went on Friday the 13th, the first day of their Halloween decorations. Fun fact for you all, this was the 13th year of them celebrating Halloween and it happened to fall on Friday the 13th. Disney thinks of every little detail in everything they do, do you think they knew this would happen 13 years ago? It wouldnt surprise me if they did. But that is one of the many things I love about this park. No detail is overlooked. Every little thing is so intricately designed.
I would say that this was one of my better trips to Disneyland. It was just my mom and I for the majority of it and my brother and his fiancé joined us later. The lines were fairly short, we went on a lot of rides, which also meant that we got to ride some that we normally wouldnt have because of shorter line waits on the bigger attractions.
The halloween decorations were just what I expected. Pumpkins everywhere. Disneyland doesnt do scary so everything was very cute and fall like. One of my goals was to get some Halloween Minnie ears. Achieved and wore them the whole time. When you go to Disneyland, you've got to wear your ears.
